Universidad Panamericana Inaugurates the Hydroadaptive Cities Center
Campus Guadalajara, Zapopan, Jalisco · May 12, 2026
Universidad Panamericana officially launched its Hydroadaptive Cities Center (CCA-UP), an applied research hub aimed at tackling Mexico’s water crisis on five fronts: efficiency, technology, governance, restoration of the hydrological cycle, and water awareness.
At the event, led by the Rector of Campus Guadalajara, Dr. Abraham Mendoza Andrade; the General Rector of the UP-IPADE system, Dr. Fernanda Llergo Bay; the Director of Research, Dr. Daniela Salgado Gutiérrez; and the Center’s director, Dr. Hugo Briseño Ramírez, attendees were also given an early look at the documentary “When the Water Falls Silent.” “We are not spectators of climate change, but architects of resilience,” said Mendoza Andrade, while Llergo Bay stressed that “the truth tells us the time for water is now.”
