The objective of this event is to present relevant water-related issues to the media. It is held close to World Water Day (March 22nd each year).

In 2025, it took place on the Terrace of the Universidad Panamericana (UP) Central Building on Thursday, March 27, 2025, and the central theme was: “Water Reforms and Governance: Towards a Sustainable and Responsible Culture.”

Mexico’s water future depends on much more than rainfall; it depends on how we manage water. This was the central conclusion of the conference organized on March 27, 2025, by the Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara campus, where academics urgently called for strengthening water governance.

Three experts from the UP addressed the challenges facing the country and proposed concrete solutions focused on modernization, infrastructure, and the depoliticization of the resource.
