Dr. Snyder is the José Domingo Pérez Foundation Chair and Professor of Environmental Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he also serves as Director of the Agilent Center of Excellence for Environmental Health and Engineering. Previously, he was a President’s Chair Professor and Pan-University Institute Executive Director at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

An internationally recognized leader in environmental engineering and sustainability, he has authored more than 300 publications, cited over 45,000 times, that have shaped global policy, regulation, and industrial practice. His pioneering research in potable water reuse, advanced treatment technologies, environmental health, and sustainable systems continues to influence the future of water security worldwide.

He is Editor-in-Chief of Environmental Science & Technology Water, a Fellow of the International Water Association, and a member of the American Academy of Engineers and Scientists. His contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, most notably the 2021 Clarke Prize—one of the highest distinctions in water science and technology.
