Carlos Daniel Montes Rodríguez, Ph.D.

Carlos Daniel Montes Rodríguez, Ph.D. is an environmental and civil engineer from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia), holding an M.Sc. in Water Resources and Hydroinformatics and a Ph.D. in Engineering. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering at Universidad de La Sabana, where he also serves as Director of the Master’s Program in Design and Process Management.

He has over 13 years of professional experience in consulting for public and private sector organizations, contributing to projects in hydrological and hydraulic modeling of urban and rural watersheds, surface water quality, urban drainage systems, drinking water distribution networks, and groundwater studies.

His academic and research work focuses on sediment transport, surface water quality, and the application of machine learning models for water resources management, with an emphasis on integrating advanced tools to support decision-making processes.
