Alejandro Salazar Adams, Ph.D.

Alejandro Salazar Adams is a Research Professor at El Colegio de Sonora and a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI), level II. He holds a PhD in Economic-Agroindustrial Problems from the Autonomous University of Chapingo. His academic work focuses on the organizational and administrative aspects of water management, water utilities, urban waste management, and municipal governments. Furthermore, he has a notable background in studies of efficiency in the public sector. He is the founder of the Master’s Program in Integrated Water Management and has coordinated fundamental works such as Fugas de agua y dinero (Water and Money Leaks) and El agua en las ciudades del norte y Bajío de México (Water in the Cities of Northern and Bajío Mexico).
